Huawei and Canon have announced a collaboration to develop a native HarmonyOS printing ecosystem, aiming to enhance user experience through smarter and more convenient printing solutions.
Canon, a renowned Japanese multinational corporation specializing in imaging and optical products, has been a partner with Huawei since 2018. At present, approximately 90% of Canon's printers—encompassing around 300 models, including inkjet printers, laser printers, and digital multifunction peripherals—are compatible with the HarmonyOS ecosystem.
This compatibility allows Huawei smartphone and tablet users to connect wirelessly with Canon printers, facilitating seamless printing operations. The coverage is continually expanding, reflecting the commitment of both companies to provide high-quality and innovative document printing solutions.
The collaboration between Huawei and Canon is expected to further expand the HarmonyOS ecosystem, providing users with enhanced functionalities and a more integrated experience. By focusing on native integration, the partnership aims to eliminate the need for additional drivers or applications, streamlining the printing process for consumers.
This initiative aligns with Huawei's broader strategy to promote HarmonyOS as a versatile and adaptable operating system capable of supporting a diverse range of applications and devices.
